A total of 12 women earn a livelihood and have gained a sense of financial strength. Discarded used soaps are collected regularly from several five-star hotels and are recycled. This actively works to reduce environmental damage through reprocessing and reuse of discarded bar soap.

The Sundara recycled soaps are distributed to children from slum and tribal villages along with hand hygiene lessons each month. Young college girls work part time for our Hygiene campaign conveying the message of hygiene to the children. Sundara has received support of the local government authorities.

Sundara- Hyatt Shield Program (Sundara – Hyatt Hygiene Intervention to Enhance Learning Development) is chosen to imply health protection to children through the use of Sundara- Hyatt recycled soaps. Sundara was awarded this grant by the Hyatt for our SHIELD program. This is 12 month, production and distribution will continue for all 12 months.

Sundara has signed a group agreement with 15 Hilton India Hotels to initiate used soap bar collections from them. We have collected around 1314 kgs of used soap bars from all the Hilton hotels. By providing livelihood through the soap reprocessing work, it seeks to financially empower economically backward women. .
